Valleyfest Tennis Tournament: August 20-22

Join in the festivities and play some tennis too at Valleyfest. The tennis tournament will be played at the ATU courts in Russellville. Valleyfest is similar to Toad Suck days in Conway. The Valleyfest junior tennis tournament is sanctioned this year. However, the adult tournament is not sanctioned. The QuickStart tournament will be held Friday morning.

Each participant will receive a free parking pass to the festival which includes rides, games, food and outdoor concerts on the river. The Valleyfest Tennis Tournament is sponsored by the River Valley Tennis Association. All proceeds go to the Boys and Girls Club. Adults and Juniors are guaranteed their tshirt size if signed up by August 1st.

In an attempt to help bring new players to join the USTA, new members will get partial registration fee paid. Registration fee for the Tri-Level Championship $28, $15 of this will be reimbursed to that player by USTA AR. Moreover, teams can set up team numbers to help make it easier to for captains and players.

The results of the 10U “Red, White, & Blue” singles tournament at the CCC on Sat. July 3rd were:

1st place: McKenna Vaught

2nd place: Holly Jones

3rd place: Baker Kendrick

Other players included: Rodrigo McCarthy, Isaac Kerr, Hannah Taylor, Allie McMillen, & Jenna McMillen.

2010 Red, White, & Blue QuickStart Tennis Tournament

To All Tennis Fans,
We are having the 1st annual “Red, White, & Blue” QuickStart Tennis Tournament for players ages 10 & under this Sat. July 3rd at the Conway Country Club. The players will be playing on a 60 ft. court and use low compression balls. Please bring the REGISTRATION FORM with you. Check-in starts at 8:30AM, matches start at 9AM. This is a fun round-robin tournament where each match consists of 5 games (no-ad scoring). Once all the matches have been completed, the three players with the most number of games won will receive a trophy and all players will receive certificates. In addition, all registered players and their families are invited to use the CCC swimming pool at no charge after their matches have been completed (food & beverage at the 19th Hole restaurant is not included, but your business would be appreciated by the club). Also, try your luck with our tennis ball raffle…for $1.00/chance, guess the number of tennis balls in the hopper and win the balls and the hopper, it’s that simple!

Come on out this Sat, wear your best red, white, & blue tennis attire, and get active!
